Christine Lamborn - Biography

 

 

Christine was born in St. Charles, Missouri. She worked in print and live fashion shows as a child and was signed with "Kid Biz". Life lead her and her family to Branson, Missouri where she spent a majority of her youth. She began acting at a young age in the professional stage play of "Shepherd of the Hills". She continued her passion for acting, singing, and dancing while performing in productions at her High School. She was also able to sing background vocals (BGV's) with Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers Live Show while in Branson.

 

She attended college at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Christine was an active member  of the Theater Honor Society "Alpha Psi Omega". During her time in college she served as Treasurer and then President of the "APO" chapter at Belmont University. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Theater with an emphasis in Performance. She then signed with Dan Talent Agency in Franklin, TN. While in Nashville she participated in several theater, film, and commercial productions around town and was even able to work on the ABC television show "Nashville". She was fortunate enough to be an Acting & Modeling teacher with the "International Performing Arts Academy" satellite school, where she was able to help teach and mold the next generation of aspiring artists in and around the Nashville Area.

She is currently located in Honolulu, Hawaii and is working on her Master of Fine Arts Degree with a dual concentration in Western Performance and Asian Performance in the Theatre & Dance Department at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. She is also a Graduate Assistant in the department and has been teaching sections of THEA 221: Intro to Performance since the Fall semester of 2017. Her duties in the department includes acting for HealthCast simulations in conjunction with the Nursing and Dental Departments. Her projected graduation date is May 2020.

Christine is represented by ADR Agency (for Film, T.V., Commercial, and Print Ad work). Since coming to Oahu she has had the pleasure to act with the Hawaii Shakespeare Festival (The Witch of Edmonton, Hamlet, Othello, Timon of Athens), Leeward Theater (School for Scandal), as well as work with some of the Local Film Production Companies: Mad Gravity Studios (Two Guns, HERE, The Walking Dead Fan Series: Days To Come), Kenetic Productions (American Savings Bank and Pizza Hut Commercials), and Anthology Marketing Group (HEMIC Commercial). She is actively involved in not only the Hawaii Theater scene but also the Improv scene as well. She has performed with such local Improv groups as "On The Spot",  "In Your Face Improv",  "Mr. Aaron Presents..." & "Think Fast". She has also be performing as "Lani Moo" and "Calci Calcium", the Meadow Gold Dairies Mascots, for public appearances and performing the "Lani Moo & Calci's Health and Nutrition Show" in conjunction with the American Heart Association School Visits and the Honolulu Children's Discovery Center since 2013.

 

Christine enjoys being involved in all aspects of film and theater. She enjoyed and excelled at Costume design and stage/moulage make up while still in Nashville. Since moving to Hawaii Christine has been the Stage Manager and Assistant Director for "Spartian Cabaret" directed by Jasmine Fernandez, the Murder Mystery Players production of "Can You Say Murder" directed by Jose Ver, and The Actors Group's (TAG) production of "Resistance!" directed by Brian Gibson. She was also the Head of Special Effects Make-Up for the Fan Series "Walking Dead: Days to Come" written and directed by Tyler Rezentes with Mad Gravity Studios and for the independent film "Popolo" directed by Edo Natasha. She has also made her directing debut with "Accidental Death of an Anarchist" by Dario Fo with the Chaminade University Collegiate Theatre Festival (CUCTF) in June 2018. She has also started costume designing again, most recently she designed "The Good Person of Setzuan" by Bertolt Brecht.  Examples of her work can be viewed in the "Tech Experience Gallery" above.

 

She worked as the Education Director for the Hawaii Shakespeare Festival during the 2016-2017 touring production season. That traveled to various schools throughout the island of Oahu to bring live Shakespeare performances into the schools of Hawaii.

 

Along with everything else she has a passion for photography and modeling in addition to her acting career.
